MY HANDS ARE YOUR HANDS
Want to up your massage skills? Learn the basics in a fun activity for two!
Here's how it works:
You and a partner will have 45 minutes each to learn basic massage techniques on each other for a total of 90 minutes. You pick the parts of the body you want to learn on and I teach you a little bit about which muscles and bones are in the area so you have an understanding of what you're working with. Then, I share my skills and guide you on how to use them so your massage is relaxing instead of stress-inducing.
I'm opening this up to Swedish and Thai massage because it's just so nice when somebody else stretches you! If your friend or partner can barely touch their toes in yoga or has a lot of tension or tight muscles, you can learn to stretch them. Thai massage is on a mat on the floor so it's actually much easier to use in your apartment than Swedish massage because most people don't have their own massage table. Thai massage is kind of like the lazy man's yoga because you get the light and open feeling of taking a yoga class while someone else does the work for you. It's a great energetic exchange for both giver and receiver and brings a certain closeness too!
