Summer is a time when your feet take a beating so I'm sharing a footwork series with you to give some love to your feet. Our feet support our whole body and how do we thank them? By shoving them into shoes, walking fast to catch the train, and stomping down on the ground instead of kissing the earth with each step as a meditation.
Now I don't expect you to make every step a walking meditation; I get that life is busy. But, when we can take some time to slow down and be kind to the parts of our body that support us through our day, we will be much happier and kinder.
The feet have reflex points that affect the entire body, so by taking 20 minutes for your feet, you calm the whole system down which feels amazing after a stressful day. Another great thing about opening up the feet is that it affects the backs of the legs and the back. So all you people that struggle with hamstring flexibility and low back pain, try this out and see if it helps your trouble spots.
